Ms. Mac is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 4 years of experience teaching in the classroom and more than 8 years of tutoring experience. She graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours and Bachelor of Education, specialized in emergent literacy development and has additional qualifications in Special Education.
Teaching from a background in Developmental Psychology, Education and Linguistics, Ms. Mac's lessons are informed by evidence-based practices (e.g., The Science of Reading) to improve student outcomes through prevention of and intervention for reading difficulties and beyond.
For the last 10 years, Ms. Mac has taught all subjects to students in kindergarten to grade 8 across Ontario and in Northern Ireland. She is passionate about building connections with students to help them achieve their goals and can't wait to use her experience and knowledge to help your child succeed.
